Still trying to catch up this blog. Might take a long time. :)
So here are a few more projects I created for the Studio Calico blog.
This one was made for a weekly challenge, mine was to step out of your comfort zone. For me, that comfort zone includes not stamping. I'm slowly tring it out though and I think I might actually like it! It helps when I have some great stamp designs to use, like these Natalee alphas and numbers. I stamped them onto some cardstock and used the American Crafts Zing in Powder to emboss. I then just cut them into squares and layered on top of the rest of my page.
Supplies: Countryside Harvest paper, Countryside Barn Swallow paper, Countryside Picnic paper, Countryside County Line paper, Countryside Wildflower paper, Wood Veneer alphabet + Clover Mister Huey, Labels Stamp Set + Natalee Stamp Set + Versamark ink + Powder Zing
This page was made using the Countryside die cut tags and State Fair die cut tags. These are one of my all time favorite scrapbooking products. I layered them to form a background, then added some wood veneer stars, some Notions and I misted the bottom with Piglet Mister Huey.
On another note...I just signed Ayla up for tumbling and dance, I'm so excited for her but very nervous about it. She's not always the best at following directions, though she does better when I'm not around. (Why is that?) Does anyone have any good recommendations for places to get tumbling/dance clothes and/or shoes? I've got a few things but we need some more. I got her this bag from Pottery Barn in Navy Bird because it was too cute to pass up, and she can use it for sleepovers (not that she's had one yet) and going to Grandma's.
This week is the calm before the storm for us. It's the last week of Brad not having late night at school almost every night, the next to last week before the kids go back to school, and the last week before we start tumbling and dance 2 nights a week. I'm just praying for some sanity once it all starts up again.
From my hear Thank you for your updates!! Love your layouts and make me really happy :)

Love your layout Jen! Honestly Payless has both ballet and tap shoes. They grow out of them so fast it's nice not having to spend a fortune on them.

Oh, and our Target has leotards and ballet shoes, too. You might check the girls section (not the tiny kids section). My girls are in gymnastics, too, and they LOVE it!
